2024 Nissan Rogue

We’ve got a sentimental car on deck today! The Nissan Rogue was my very first mom car and what I brought my first child home in. I love this car so much and after hearing about the 2024 Nissan Rogue refresh, I knew I had to get it for a car tour. As always, the question stands: is it family-friendly?

If you’re new here - welcome! I’m Kelly the Car Mom and as a mom of almost four (if you missed the life update click here), CPST, and a huge car fan, I can’t wait to walk you through all the features of the 2024 Nissan Rogue to help see if it’s right for your family.

2024 Nissan Rogue Exterior

The Rogue I’ll be walking through today is the SL trim and has a MSRP of about $39,000. This is a little pricey for a five passenger car, but I guess that's where we're at in this market.

Aside from that, the Rogue had a complete redesign in 2021 and it was iconic. Now in 2024, there’s a refresh (mostly on the front) that gives it just a little bit more of an aggressive, sporty look.

On this SL trim we have 19in two toned wheels which look stunning with this pearl iridescent color. This color has been around or a version of this has been around with Nissan for forever and I love it. It's such a gorgeous color Overall, the exterior refresh is minor, but it really adds a nice touch to compliment the 2021 refresh.

2024 Nissan Rogue First Row

Let's get into the interior because it’s amazing, especially the infotainment system. Looking at the interior, we’ve got a little contrast stitching and almost a wood grain textured black plastic. It’s pretty, but nothing too crazy - the real talking point is the tech.

One thing I do want to point out is the under console pass through. I keep seeing it in more and more vehicles and it adds a lot of storage space for an otherwise unused area.

Infotainment System

Nissan has upgraded the Rogue with a completely new infotainment system and I'm obsessed. There is a 12.3 inch display for the dash and a 12.3 inch display for the infotainment system itself. I love when infotainment systems have a customizable display, so you can have multiple information all at once.

We've got built-in navigation, all of our music bluetooth systems, and it also has Google. Typically, I am not a very big fan of any sort of built-in assistance, but it actually works and I think it's just because the technology has finally caught up. It’s incredibly responsive and picks up on my voice really well.

I appreciate that Nissan is still keeping all our climate controls, along with heated seats and a heated steering wheel. This entire area feels very lux.

2024 Nissan Rogue Second Row

Let's get to the second row because there's kind of a lot to talk about. For the car seat setup, I’ve used the Britax Poplar and it’s one of my new favorites on the market. It has a lot of different reclines for rear facing, but it can be very compact front to back.

As far as car seat hardware is concerned, it's a little different. We have three tether anchors across the back (which is standard). However, we have an extra lower anchor in the middle seat.

Typically, I like lower anchors to come in pairs because if you're installing a car seat with lower anchors you need two of them, but this extra lower anchor in the middle allows you to install a car seat in the middle seat with LATCH - a really safe option.

Second row amenities include:

  • Sun shades (this is incredible!)

  • Excellent car seat clearance

  • Ceiling vents

  • USB-C vents

2024 Nissan Rogue Trunk

This trunk is fantastic. I threw a giant Mockingbird stroller in the back and didn’t even try to make it fit, it just did. A vehicle like this for a family of four is actually sometimes a better option for trunk space because you don’t have a third row taking it all up. There is a power tailgate and cargo cover as well in the SL trim.

2024 Nissan Rogue Wrap Up

Overall, I think the 2024 Nissan Rogue is a really good option for smaller families interested in a quality SUV. The new infotainment system is incredible, plus I love the second row car seat setup. While the price is on the higher end, I do think it’s worth a test drive.
