Atlas(t), The Perfect Twin Mom Car!

2019 R-Line Atlas

What car do you drive? Please include trim level and year.

I drive a 2019 R-Line Atlas

Tell us about your family- how old are you kids? What's your car seat set up like? How does your family use the car on a daily basis?

I have 3 year old twin girls. I have the captains chairs, so both girls are rear facing in those. We have the Nuna Rava convertible seats. Before purchasing the car, I made sure that our car seats would work forward facing in the third row for when we have baby #3. Our Atlas is our primary vehicle and I use it to drive the girls to school, and all over town.

What do you LOVE about your current car?

I actually love how simple the technology is. My in-laws have remarked that they love how they can "figure stuff out" easily in my car, but it is still nice and updated. There aren't any extras that I don't feel like I need. I love the heated seats, Apple CarPlay, the brake assist system and the blind spot sensor for safety. I also love that it gives bigger SUV vibes without me having to step up to put my haul my girls into their car seats (I would've thrown my back out by now lol). That was really important to be while they are younger and need help getting in and out of the car. It is SO spacious on the inside, which is perfect for all of the road trips we take but I can still zip around town without feeling like I'm driving a bus!

What would you change about your car?

Honestly, my only gripe is the lack of ceiling vents in the second row. I think it helps regulate the air a bit because there are some in the third row on the sides, but still doesn't help when it's super hot. Sigh #sacrifices

What other cars did you consider while car shopping?
We dabbled in looking at bigger, full-size SUVs like the Tahoe and Suburban, but that just didn't make sense for our stage of life with two young kids. It was really important, though, for us to make sure that we could add another baby in the future and not have to upgarade to a bigger car. Technically we could add tow other kids to this car comfortably. We also can use the car seat tilt in the future to make third row access easy. The longevity was important to us.

Would you recommend your car to a family like yours?

Absolutely. This is a GREAT car for twins in car seats. We don't have the bench, but I know the bench seat has great width to it compared to other mid-size SUVs. I really can't recommend it enough.
