All About that Base MDX!

written by Laine Hummer

I introduce, the 2022 Acura MDX. You guys…..this BASE MODEL MDX HAS IT ALL! LEGIT HAS IT ALL! Generally you pay big bucks for a pano sunroof, digital dashboard, wireless phone charger, rubber floor mats. NOT IN THE NEW MDX y’all. You get ALL OF THAT in the BASE MODEL.

As a mom of two kids still at home (one age 6 and one age 13) who are very involved with friends and sports, I needed a medium size SUV that would allow seating for 7 or 8. I have had many many many vehicles, one being a 2019 Honda Odyssey which I absolutely loved, it was; however, very large for me personally but super convenient when you have kids that fling open doors on windy days. I also had a 2020 Toyota Highlander, which I did like; however, I wanted something with a bench 2nd row, as I frequently carry an extra kid or grandma with me, and with 3 people in the middle, your trunk space is very limited if you do not have a bench because one of those 3 people has to go in the 3rd row which limits trunk space.

FOR ALL THESE ISSUES…….I introduce, the 2022 Acura MDX. You also get heated seats (not cooled, you gotta pay extra for that). I just had my husband get my front windows tinted and it looks so beautiful.

Another amazing feature about the MDX is the middle row middle seat is removable so if you want those captains chairs, you can have them! If you want a bench, you can have that too! The middle row seats slide forward or backward to accommodate different sizes and configurations. You also get all the safety features, lane departure, etc. that are on the new vehicles today. It also has a reminder to get the kids out of the backseat. A few of my girlfriends have sat in the 3rd row and have mentioned how much room they have back there. There are 2 cupholders in the front, one in each door, and honestly idk how many in the back because my kids are not allowed with food or drink in my car. The trunk space is better than the Highlander, but my favorite part is the little area in the trunk you can either leave it flat, store things under it, or you can take the cover off, slide it to the bottom, and you have a little cubby so when you open your trunk, all your groceries don’t fall out. I know so good! I’m so happy with our vehicle, it seriously fits so many needs and you don’t feel like you’re driving around a school bus!
