2024 Chevy Traverse | See It Here FIRST!
Today, I have such an exciting car tour on deck which just so happens to be one of the most anticipated launches of 2024. Chevy completely redesigned their Traverse from the ground up and listened to a ton of feedback to pinpoint every gripe in need of fixing. Although I am thrilled to see all these advancements take place, the question still stands: is the 2024 Chevy Traverse family friendly?

2024 Chevy Traverse Exterior
Chevy really focused on completely shifting the 2024 Traverse to exactly what we’ve been asking for, which the exterior showcases beautifully. It’s masculine, boxy, large and in charge (almost a little Tahoe like), but I’m so into it!
The front of the car showcases an incredible all-black grill that really reminds me of what we’re currently seeing on luxury vehicles. The shape and body have a sporty feel to it, but overall the entire exterior feels like the perfectly elevated version of what we’ve been dying to see.
Sizing
Let’s talk size! The 2024 Chevy Traverse is one of the largest midsize SUVs you can purchase on the market. It has best in-class cargo room, which is a feature I recommend all families debating between midsize and full SUVs look for when considering vehicle convenience.
Although Chevy redesigned almost everything, the size of the new Traverse is very similar to older models, which is one of the top reasons why people loved this car in the first place.
I highly recommend seeing the Chevy Traverse in person because if it’s too small for your kids and every routine, all midsize SUVs will be too small.
2024 Chevy Traverse First Row Details
The upgrades within the interior of the Chevy Traverse are phenomenal! After touring my fair share of both 2023 and 2024 new models, this may be one of my favorite interiors available on the market. The overall driving experience for the entire vehicle was thought through quite deliberately.
First row amenities include:
Super cruise
Heated steering wheel + seats
Ventilated seats
Rearview camera
Panoramic sunroof
USB + USB-C chargers
Under console bridge for extra storage
4 console cup holders
Infotainment System
Most drivers (especially moms) agree the infotainment system is top priority to a safe and easy driving experience. The 17.7 standard inch display in the new Traverse is identical to what comes in Escalade models. All the features I love to see in an infotainment system (Apple Carplay, Android Auto, etc…) come with it in a really easy to finagle display.
One of the newest features available on the dash cam exclusively is a seatbelt reminder, which is fantastic for moms!
It provides a visual map to know which passenger is buckled in before starting your journey. Lastly, it prevents any movement unless both the driver and passenger are buckled.
2024 Chevy Traverse Second Row Details
Car seat set up is an essential part to the success of any second row. Chevy allows you to choose between either captain’s chairs or a bench seat option for whatever works best for your car seat set up. Lower anchors and tether anchors are available with the second row, but not the third row.
For taller drivers, the access for rear-facing car seats is still phenomenal. Lots of space in between for an easy in and out.
Second row amenities include:
USB-C ports
Ceiling vents
Heated seats
Leather back pockets
Second row seating on tracks (for more leg room as needed)
2024 Chevy Traverse Third Row Details
Things get interesting when we start to discuss third row access. Previously, the older Traverse models had one of my all-time favorite features: the car seat friendly tilt. It makes for the easiest buckle-up experience of your life in the third row, except it was only on the passenger side.
Now, the 2024 Chevy Traverse has the car seat friendly tilt on both sides with a new-and-improved button that is easier for children to use. Once the chair is slid forward, the space to access the third row is incredible! Nothing like the tight squeeze typical midsize SUVs have.
The most major improvement to the third row is a middle seat head restraint. General Motors was the only manufacturer who did not include this feature until 2024, meaning another passenger can be safe during any potential accident.

Cupholders
Ceiling vents
Increased access to third row through button feature
2024 Chevy Traverse Trunk Details
Trunk space is incredible! Although I did not have a double stroller to test in the trunk, I am more than confident it will fit with ease.
Under the trunk is additional storage which is not uncommon in SUVs, but was quite deep. Lastly, the second and third row can be folded down for even more space if needed through buttons accessed in the back.
2024 Chevy Traverse Wrap Up
The redesigned 2024 Chevy Traverse is an incredible upgrade to its previous models. Being the largest midsize SUV in its class, the size and space available makes for an incredible driving experience for everyone in the car. The exterior is a more luxurious, sporty version to what we are used to in Traverse models, plus the elevation on the interior is incredible for day-to-day use.
Overall, I think this is an incredible midsize car option available for families that can really help decide how much space is right for you.
