2022 Kia Carnival
The 2022 Kia Carnival has entered the chat! I am so excited to introduce you all to Kia’s newest model, the Carnival. The Carnival is replacing Kia’s current minivan, the Sedona. So, is it a minivan? Is it an SUV? Well technically, it’s neither. Kia is calling the Carnival an MPV (multi-passenger vehicle).
The Carnival comes packed with tons of safety features, the space and carseat attachments allows for all kinds of car seat set ups and the trunk space is what dreams are made of. This vehicle was made for hauling children and it shows.

2022 Kia Carnival Exterior
The Carnival comes in five different trims with starting MSRPs ranging from $32,100 to $46,100. The cost effective LX is the base trim level which comes standard with great space and safety features. If you upgrade to the highest trim the SX Prestige you get some luxury features. For me, the EX gives you the most bang for your buck. For less than $40K you get power tailgate, Syntex seats, Passenger Talk & Passenger View, wireless phone charger, and power and heated front seats.
The Carnival’s fuel economy rating is 19 city, 26 highway and 22 combined which is slightly better than the previous Sedona’s. Unfortunately, the Carnival does not come in AWD and is only available in FWD no matter which trim you get.

2022 Kia Carnival Second + Third Row Details
With this car you get to choose the interior set up. You can either do bench seating or captain seats! Depending on what your families needs are will depend on which option you should choose! The captain seats are great for more space in the car and can be helpful for securing in carseats. However, if you have a larger family the bench seating will allow for more available seating!
As for the third row, the car seat set up is awesome. It’s much better than the Chrysler Pacifica and has the two outboard seats with both lower and tether anchors.

2022 Kia Carnival Trunk Details
As you can expect for a minivan trunk, the space in the back of the 2022 Kia Carnival is great. We’ve got a lot of space still with a stroller, plus I love deeper trunks for additional clearance at the top.
2022 Kia Carnival Wrap Up
I knew I was going to like this car but it blew my expectations out of the water! It is definitly a step up from the Sedona with its amazing technology, safety features, and overall car space. The only thing I wish I could change about it is making it an all wheel drive car! Overall, if you are looking for a large family friendly minivan that has everything you are looking for, this just might be your next car.
