Chevy Teen Driver Technology

Chevrolet is easing parents' minds with their Teen Driver Technology. This is a one of a kind built in system that coaches your teen based on the guidelines you have set and it even creates a report card for you to review!

In the teen driver system, parents can set a speed alert, a speed limiter and audio limits. Studies have shown that teens are more likely than older drivers to speed and 93% of teen drivers play loud music while driving. Making these parental restrictions extremely important.

When it comes to making sure teens are buckling- the teen driver tech is doing the most. Available features include industry-first Buckle to Drive feature, muting audio until front-seat occupants are buckled. This is incredibly important because only 61% of teens buckle when riding with someone else.

Finally the report card feature is probably my favorite! It shows you information about your teens recent drives- it tracks things like distance and speed but goes further to even letting parents know if and how often any driver assistance features were engaged. Then parents can take this information and coach their teen based on the report card.

Pretty handy Chevrolet! Here is a video to see this in action!
