What’s All the BUZZ About? The Volkswagen ID Buzz Comes to the States
The automotive industry has witnessed a rapid shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) in recent years, and Volkswagen has released potentially the most unique EV yet. Building upon its rich heritage and commitment to sustainable mobility, Volkswagen is all set to release its highly anticipated electric minivan, the Volkswagen ID Buzz. This modern interpretation of the iconic Volkswagen Microbus aims to capture the hearts of enthusiasts while making the EV push.
The Volkswagen ID Buzz is the culmination of the German automaker's ambition to bring back the nostalgia and charm of the legendary Microbus. The ID Buzz retains the essence of the original Microbus while incorporating cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, making it a perfect blend of retro aesthetics and modern functionality.
The ID Buzz made its debut in the European market. The iconic bus is now making its way into the US market with a longer wheel base and third row. Sales are expected to begin in 2024. The ID Buzz will be available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, catering to different driving preferences and weather conditions.

As far as carseat set up is concerned from what I can see based on the images released, there are lower anchors on outboard seats in second row and I’m assuming tethers across the bench. In the third row, we have two seats with lower anchors and again, I’m assuming tether anchors as well. Trunk space doesn’t look stellar however, the third row seats can be removed for additional trunk space.
