Ford Bronco Details

The Ford Bronco is a classic and I’m so happy that it’s back! It’s available with two or four doors, hard or soft top and comes in 7 different trims. So the possibilities are nearly endless when customizing your Ford Bronco. The Bronco can also handle nearly any terrain and has impressive off-roading capabilities, but that’s not what The Car Mom reviews are about…. I put it to the mom test by installing car seats, loading and unloading my stroller, and checking out the available technology and storage spaces. So here is my honest review on the new Ford Bronco!

Things I love:

This car is stunning to look out both on the exterior and the interior. I love the retro and sporty feel it has to it while keeping its classic Bronco look from many years ago. It has lots of airbags which is a great safety feature and the attention to detail when Ford made this car is incredible. They put so much thought into this car, I understand what all they hype is about! The Bronco logo is a bucking horse and they have that detail throughout the car, which is so cool!

  • Retro, sporty exterior

  • Side curtain airbags

  • Attention to detail and fit and finishes! Love all the bucking broncos!

Things I don’t love:

Although this car is beautiful, the second row really disappointed me. The seats are small and feel like bucket seats which are not the most comfortable. The carseat set up is okay and nothing that impressed me, especially with all the kids I have now. It might work fine for someone with only one kid but for me this is not the case. It is compact in the back row but it does have a decent trunk space!

  • Second row seats feel like bucket seats

  • Subpar carseat set up (not really knocking it, it just wouldn’t work for me in my life stage)

Carseat Set Up

A little bit about the carseat set up, it has two sets of lower anchors and three lower anchors across the bench. That’s the government minimum so it’s nothing special but to be honest I wasn’t expecting this all terrain beast to be the most functional for carseats. It isn’t necessarily a car that was built for kids and families. The bronco is definitely a fun adult car to own.

My Final Review

The new Ford Bronco is bringing back a classic that everyone loved in the past and I understand the popularity behind the car. With thta being said, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for large families looking for a safe family friendly car. It does have lots of safety features, but the second row is very compact. The carseat set up didn’t impress me but it would still work for a family installing one! Overall I think this car is here to stay and it’s just going to get more popular with all the customization options Ford offers!
